Costa Moresca

The villas and hosts were fantastic - highly recommended! The views across the Ionian sea towards Catania and Mt Etna are absolutely outstanding - the pictures on the site do not do it justice at all. The elevated outdoor area of the larger front villa is literally on the shores of the sea (though there isn't direct access to the sea from the property - it is a short walk down the road). The covered portion of the outdoor area also easily accommodated a large dining table that could seat 15 or so people. There are two villas connected by a driveway and the surrounding area is very quiet and safe. The villas themselves are well appointed and modern and all of the bedrooms are 'en suite'. Communication with the agency before and during the stay were excellent. The agency also arranged a chef to cook dinner for two of the nights and everything was delicious; they even brought the food and cleaned-up. Some additional observations: there are no true walkable amenities nearby - you will need to drive to get groceries/go to restaurants (the town of Brucoli has some good options ~15 minute drive), the villas are difficult to find off the main road and online maps were of limited use - the host walked our driver through it on the phone (a detailed map from the host would be helpful); the pools at the villas are not heated so of limited use in cooler weather. Again, these are very minor things and I would not deduct any star rating at all - as I said, they are 'observations'. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend the listing to others.
